The Pingdom alternative that watches search as well as speed
Watch Core Web Vitals from real users, lab tests, indexing and robots.txt, then uptime and SSL, with one alert setup. Uptime and page speed checks, next to search.

A fast, available site can still lose traffic
Pingdom answers whether the site is up and how fast it loads. When clicks fall for another reason, the answer is not in Pingdom.
A page that left the index
A new noindex or a canonical pointing elsewhere keeps the page fast and up, and drops it from Google.
A robots.txt rule
One line in robots.txt can block a whole folder. The site stays available and every check passes.
Two bills, two setups
Pingdom prices Synthetic Monitoring and Real User Monitoring separately, and neither covers search or crawl data.

Where Pingdom is the better pick
If availability and load times across a large estate are the job, Pingdom has real strengths.
Test locations and scale
Pingdom checks from more than 100 locations, and its plans go to thousands of uptime checks. VitalSentinel checks one page per domain, from one place.
Transaction checks
Pingdom can script flows such as sign-up, login, search and checkout, and alert when a step breaks. VitalSentinel does not run scripted flows.
Status pages and SMS
Pingdom offers public status pages and SMS alerts. VitalSentinel has no status pages, and alerts in the app, by email, in Slack and by webhook.
If you want speed and uptime next to the indexing, robots.txt, Google Search Console and traffic data that explain a drop, that is where VitalSentinel fits.
Moving over from Pingdom
There is nothing to import. Most modules start once your domain is verified, so you can run both while you compare.
