Questions about the Google Search Console MCP

Is the Google Search Console MCP server free?

Yes, for one domain. The Free plan includes the MCP server, Google Search Console and up to 5 years of history, with no credit card.

Paid plans add more domains, from $39 a month.

How much Search Console history can my assistant read?

Google Search Console keeps 16 months. When you connect a property, VitalSentinel loads those 16 months and then keeps every new day, for up to 5 years.

Your assistant reads that same history, so year-over-year questions keep working after Google has dropped the data.

Which AI assistants work with it?

Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code, with setup steps for each in the docs. The same server address works in all of them.

Can my assistant change anything in Google Search Console?

No. VitalSentinel connects to Google with read-only access and never modifies anything there.

Inside VitalSentinel, the sign-in lets your assistant act as well as read, capped by your role. Want it read-only? Use an API key with read scopes only.

Does it use credits?

Yes. MCP and the REST API share one monthly credit allowance per workspace, on every plan. A light read costs 1 credit, a heavy read 5, and most cached answers nothing.

Each plan’s allowance is on the pricing page.

Is my data safe?

The MCP server holds no credentials of its own and stores nothing. You sign in through your own browser, choose which workspaces it may reach, and can revoke it any time.

The Data access log keeps every request for 90 days.

More in the MCP docs.
