Site Health Monitoring

A technical SEO crawl that never stops, not an audit you run once a month

A site audit tells you what was wrong on the day it ran. Site Health Monitoring checks your site all day, one page at a time, reading both the HTML your server sends and the page after JavaScript runs. When a problem spreads across pages – a noindex shipped with a release, canonicals pointing somewhere else, text that only appears after JavaScript – it opens an issue, ranks it by the Google clicks at stake, and closes it once the pages pass again.

  • Pages checked around the clock, pinned pages about every day
  • The HTML your server sends and the page after JavaScript
  • Issues ranked by the Google clicks they put at risk
  • A health score from 0 to 100, with 30 days of history

// the problem

A release added noindex to your blog. The next audit is in three weeks.

Scheduled audits are snapshots. Between them, a deploy can rewrite canonicals, empty a product list, or move your page text behind JavaScript, and the first sign is a traffic drop. By then Google has already recrawled the damage.

A template change adds noindex or a wrong canonical to a whole section

Content renders in the browser but is missing from the HTML crawlers read first

Pages start returning errors, or redirect to the homepage, after a migration

Titles, headings and structured data disappear without anyone editing them

Your robots.txt or firewall quietly shuts out the AI search bots you want

An audit lists hundreds of findings, with no way to tell which ones cost traffic

// what you can monitor

One score, and the issues behind it

The Overview opens on your health score and its last 30 days, then the open issues, each with its severity, the pages it affects, when it started and the Google clicks those pages earned. Start with the ones marked Fix first.

01

Continuous Crawling

Instead of crawling everything at once, our crawler checks one page a minute per domain on paid plans, all day. Each page in the selection comes around about once a week, and pages you pin about every day.

02

Before and After JavaScript

Every check reads the HTML your server sends and the page after JavaScript runs, so it catches text missing from the HTML, tags rewritten by JavaScript, noindex added by a script and pages that render blank.

03

Sitewide Issue Detection

More than 80 issue types across indexability, errors and redirects, rendering, SEO elements, security, performance, links and crawl paths, and AI crawler access. Issues open when a problem spans pages and close when they pass again.

04

Health Score

A score from 0 to 100 built from five areas: reachability, crawlability, indexability, experience, and content and SEO. Hover a day in the score history to see which issues moved it. Outages belong to Uptime Monitoring and do not count.

05

Ranked by What Is at Stake

Each issue shows the Google clicks its pages earned in the last 90 days, and each page its last Googlebot visit and whether it is in Google's index, once Search Console and Server Log Monitoring are connected.

06

AI Crawler Readability

See whether 18 AI and search bots can get in, according to your robots.txt and, with Server Log Monitoring connected, to your server, with a copyable fix for each AI search bot that is shut out, and which sections of your site an AI bot can read without running JavaScript.

07

"I've Fixed It – Check Again"

Fixed something? Ask for a recheck from the issue and up to 10 affected pages are checked again, without waiting for the next pass. Each issue tracks how many of its pages are fixed.

08

You Choose the Pages

Set how many pages are checked, put the pages with the most clicks, the most visits or your sitemap first, add rules to always or never check a path, and pin up to 50 pages. Mark an issue as normal for your site and it stays quiet.

09

One List for the Whole Site

Problems found by your other monitors, from poor page experience on phones to pages missing from Google or an expiring SSL certificate, appear in the same issue list. Any page can be added to Page Monitoring in one click.

// before and after javascript

See what crawlers miss before JavaScript runs

Google reads the HTML first and renders later, and many AI bots never run JavaScript at all. Site Health compares the two versions of every page it checks, so a release that moves your text, links or structured data behind a script is caught on the next pass, not in next quarter's audit.

  • Page text and internal links missing from the HTML
  • Titles, canonicals and robots tags rewritten by JavaScript

Know which AI bots can actually reach you

Your robots.txt is only half the answer. A firewall rule or bot protection can refuse an AI search bot that robots.txt allows. Site Health checks robots.txt for 18 AI and search bots, from OAI-SearchBot and Claude-SearchBot to Bingbot and GPTBot, and with Server Log Monitoring connected, what your server did with their visits. Each AI search bot that is shut out comes with the lines to fix it.

  • robots.txt per bot, and your server's answers from Server Log Monitoring
  • A copyable fix for every blocked AI search bot
  • Which sections of your site read fine without JavaScript

Hear about sitewide problems, not single-page noise

Alerts fire when a problem spreads, not when one page has a bad minute. Pick the kinds you care about, from indexability and errors to rendering, security and AI bot access, and choose the lowest severity worth an alert. Alerts arrive in the app and, if you want, by email.

  • Alerts for indexability, errors, rendering and SEO elements
  • Know when our crawler is blocked, and when your site is reachable again
  • Critical only, High and above, or Medium and above

From verified domain to a health score

1Step 01

Verify your domain

Site Health only runs on a site you have verified as yours, through Google Search Console, Cloudflare, a DNS record, or a meta tag or file. We never crawl a site for someone who has not proved they run it.

2Step 02

We pick the pages

Your homepage, your sitemap, your top pages in Search Console and the pages you pin come first, with random picks so every part of the site is represented. Up to 10,000 pages per domain on paid plans and 2,500 on Free.

3Step 03

Checks run all day

One page a minute per domain on paid plans, and one every five minutes on Free, each read before and after JavaScript. Our crawler names itself in its User-Agent, and the bot page explains how to allow or block it.

4Step 04

Issues open and the score fills in

While it gets to know your site, the Overview shows how many pages are checked and when your first score should be ready. From then on, issues open and close as your pages change.

// in the real world

Real scenarios, real fixes

SEO teams
Challenge

"Our monthly crawl found a canonical bug three weeks after it shipped, and rankings had already dropped."

Solution

Site Health raises a sitewide canonical issue within a pass of the release, with the affected pages and the clicks they earn, so it is fixed before Google settles on the wrong page.

Developers
Challenge

"A front-end refactor moved product copy into client-side rendering, and nobody noticed the HTML was nearly empty."

Solution

Every check compares the HTML with the rendered page, so text missing from the HTML opens an issue, and "I've fixed it – check again" confirms the fix in minutes.

Agencies
Challenge

"Running a full audit for every client every week is slow, and the reports bury the one problem that matters."

Solution

Each client site is checked continuously, with one score, a short list of issues ranked by clicks at risk, and alerts only when something spreads.
